  Friendly, personable staff and owners. Amazing steaks, burgers, clams, and dinner specials. Great quality ingredients and reasonable prices.

  This is a review of the restaurant only...
  
  A friend and I were visiting the Tuscarora Retreat Center across the river and needed a nearby place for dinner. The retreat center staff recommended a pizza place with mediocre reviews, so we tried Hunter's Lodge instead.
  
  I had the filet and my friend had a burger. Both were quite good and reasonably priced, especially in light of the tremendous portions.
  
  They were doing more bar than restaurant business, but don't be deterred.
